As I'm sitting at this desk
Full of paper and stuff to do,
forcing myself to work.
I'm full of dreams I want to realise,
but again there's something in my way.
I can't simply sing my song cause,
I'm stuck in a chapter that's over for me now..
Bring out the trombones,
let them blow into my soul.
Kick on the floor tom,
let them control my heartbeat.
Slap on the bass strings,
they make me get my groove on.
Gimme' the guitars,
let them roar across the sky.

I tell myself just get it over with.
There will be times, after this is done.
I try my best and I succeed.
But suddenly the flow has flown away.

Man On The Roof

There's a man on the roof,
standing in the rays of light.
Sunrise over hazy town.
That man is swimmin' in the light,
cold light.
The man is looking,
for a reason.
The reason why he's on the roof.
Is it just for show,
or is there something more?
He's paralyzed because he suddenly doesn't know.

His shadow is dancing with his silhouet.
He's killing time,
while he should be at work.
But no one knows,
he's up there all alone.
He could be in a different world as well.
So he starts runnnin',
far away now!

into the unknown world.
The day he vanished,
no one can recall..
There's a man on the roofs,
roaming through the fading light.
Sunset over hazy town.
The man forever on his own,
is free at last.
